ENFJs are the benevolent ‘pedagogues’ of humanity. They have tremendous charisma by which many are drawn into their nurturant tutelage and/or grand schemes. Many ENFJs have tremendous power to manipulate others with their phenomenal interpersonal skills and unique salesmanship. But it’s usually not meant as manipulation — ENFJs generally believe in their dreams, and see themselves as helpers and enablers, which they usually are. ENFJs are global learners. They see the big picture. The ENFJs focus is expansive. Some can juggle an amazing number of responsibilities or projects simultaneously. Many ENFJs have tremendous entrepreneurial ability. ENFJs are, by definition, Js, with whom we associate organization and decisiveness. But they don’t resemble the SJs or even the NTJs in organization of the environment nor occasional recalcitrance. ENFJs are organized in the arena of interpersonal affairs. Their offices may or may not be cluttered, but their conclusions (reached through feelings) about people and motives are drawn much more quickly and are more resilient than those of their NFP counterparts.

ENFJs know and appreciate people. Like most NFs, (and Feelers in general), they are apt to neglect themselves and their own needs for the needs of others. They have thinner psychological boundaries than most, and are at risk for being hurt or even abused by less sensitive people. ENFJs often take on more of the burdens of others than they can bear.

Functional Analysis:

Extraverted Feeling

Extraverted Feeling rules the ENFJ’s psyche. In the sway of this rational function, these folks are predisposed to closure in matters pertaining to people, and especially on behalf of their beloved. As extraverts, their contacts are wide ranging. Face-to-face relationships are intense, personable and warm, though they may be so infrequently achieved that intimate friendships are rare.

Introverted iNtuition

Like their INFJ cousins, ENFJs are blessed through introverted intuition with clarity of perception in the inner, unconscious world. Dominant Feeling prefers to find the silver lining in even the most beggarly perceptions of those in their expanding circle of friends and, of course, in themselves. In less balanced individuals, such mitigation of the unseemly eventually undermines the ENFJ’s integrity and frequently their good name. In healthier individuals, deft use of this awareness of the inner needs and desires of others enables this astute type to win friends, influence people, and avoid compromising entanglements. The dynamic nature of their intuition moves ENFJs from one project to another with the assurance that the next one will be perfect, or much more nearly so than the last. ENFJs are continually looking for newer and better solutions to benefit their extensive family, staff, or organization.

Extraverted Sensing

Sensing is extraverted. ENFJs can manage details, particularly those necessary to implement the prevailing vision. These data have, however, a magical flexible quality. Something to be bought can be had for a song; the same something is invaluable when it’s time to sell. (We are not certain, but we suspect that such is the influence of the primary function.) This wavering of sensory perception is made possible by the weaker and less mature status with which the tertiary is endowed.

Introverted Thinking

Introverted Thinking is least apparent and most enigmatic in this type. In fact, it often appears only when summoned by Feeling. At times only in jest, but in earnest if need be, Thinking entertains as logical only those conclusions which support Feeling’s values. Other scenarios can be shown invalid or at best significantly inferior. Such “Thinking in the service of Feeling” has the appearance of logic, but somehow it never quite adds up. Introverted Thinking is frequently the focus of the spiritual quest of ENFJs. David’s lengthiest psalm, 119, pays it homage. “Law,” “precept,” “commandment,” “statute:” these essences of inner thinking are the mysteries of Deity for which this great Feeler’s soul searched.

So a lot of people i’ve met over the past 3 to 5 years, I have met through facebook, yelp, and twitter. I have done photoshoots with people I met on twitter and had lunch with yelp friends. So why should I be surprised that the new apps getting talked up are all about meeting people who share your area and your interests?

Highlight is getting a lot of play from SXSWand the peeps that matter in Social Media… do you use it? I have it, but honestly being out in the desert right now, it hasn’t been all that useful. When I return to Los Angeles, I am assuming my interest in screenwriting and fashion will have that thing blowing up!

Along the same lines, Glancee does the same thing with a different interface. I think it is a great idea, and I remember reading about something very similar before smartphones that was used in Japan with hardware built for the actual task of “beeping up” when you were near someone else who shared your specific interests. The idea is not new, but it will be interesting to see if people really do want to meet people or if social media is more of a way to interact without having to “face to face” with people.

Ok, so we wish this was real, but it turns out it is a very clever and well-done fake poster by artist Pascal Witazek. Rumors are flying about whether this is real or not, but the internet says it is actually not based in any kind of reality. If you can trust the internet. Very Aware has more.

That being said… it would be a clever marketing stunt and in the hands of Ron Howard… yes, i would see it. Would you?

If this is just Pascal’s wish… I say Disney should make it come true….

IKEA Shopping Secrets. Prepare for battle!

I am not sure why there are two listings for this IKEA.
This is a good location, it is just like every other IKEA you have been to.
There isn’t a lot that I can say that has not been said, so I will give you my IKEA secrets.
Go to http://IKEA.com and sign up for the family card to get discounts. You get free coffee and a free ice cream cone with this as well.
You can look up products online ahead of time and get their aisle and bin number before you leave, print that out if you want to skip the showroom.
You can also see what is in stock online at your locale IKEA. This helps incase you are looking for something specific.
Wear comfortable shoes!
Empty your car out and measure where you have room or plan to tie stuff to the top if you are going to buy anything large.
Plan to be here ALL DAY!
Plan to get ideas and take pictures perhaps.
If you have kids, they will enjoy the kids center where you can check them in, get a pager and they are allowed to play in there for an hour. The pager will buzz if your kid needs you back sooner.
When you start the showroom, grab a few big yellow bags.
Walk the show room – it takes about an hour to do the whole thing without a lot of stopping, make sure to pick up anything you see that you want from the bins, you might not be able to find it again in the maze.
Break for lunch! At the end of the showroom is a cafeteria, swedish coffee is great, I love the LOX and they usually have some good sweets.
Then you will go downstairs and actually start shopping.
The marketplace is about another hour and then you go into the warehouse where you get the larger stuff.
If you are getting any larger stuff, make sure to grab a pallet cart.. you will need it. Stuff is boxed and heavy.
If you buy anything that might have extra pieces, make sure you confirm what you need. A bed may have top bottom, slats, mid-beam and hardware all in different bins. You don’t want to get home and realize you are missing a piece.
If it’s not there when you look, ASK. They will check the back for you.
Want a deal – look in the AS IS section.. lots of good stuff there for discounted prices and usually someone else has already put it together for you.
If you have a lot of smaller stuff, grab some blue bags as you check out. They are .59 cents each, but unless you want to carry a bunch of little items out.. they come in handy and are really re-usable. I always have a couple in my car.
You will buy something you don’t need. It’s a given. But have fun and plan to leave tired!

I know that rock stars do drugs.. we all know it, but is it okay in this day and age to openly admit such life choices to your fans in a very casual way?

Here Lady Gaga admits that her friends are STONED and are urging her to take the beef bourguignon she was making out early. Now some may find it more shocking that she was cooking a beef bourguignon than doing drugs…

My question.. is it “cool” for celebs to admit drug use by themselves and close friends with the current cultural climate?
